The South American Football Championship was postponed to be held next year. After the worldwide viral-19 virus spread

The South American Football Federation (CONMEBOL) announced that it will postpone the 2020 Copa America match in Argentina and Colombia to host this summer. Instead competed between 11 June - 11 July in 2021

South America is one of the most prevalent continents of the Covid-19 virus, so CONMEBOL decided to postpone the Copa America 2020 for a year in order to be safe for players, staff and fans.
